Why asking is so hard

Parents are stretched thin. Most of us have people who would help, but asking can feel like a burden. Planning it can feel like more work than it is worth. So we go without. We skip the workout. We cancel the appointment. We get through the day on our own.

CareSwap makes it easy to ask, and easy to give. That is the whole idea.

Where it started

CareSwap was founded in 2026, but it began 12 years earlier with a desperate question from a stretched mom of two small children: if my community knew how badly I needed help, would they offer?

What we believe

Asking is not a burden. Leaning on your people is how community is meant to work.

No one should carry it alone. A need goes out to your whole circle at once, so no single person is the one being put on the spot.

Giving gives back. The hours you give to someone else come back to you, in help you did not have to ask twice for and in a community that holds together.

Community can be built. If you do not have your people yet, you can find them. It starts with one invitation and a little bit of awkwardness.

What CareSwap is

CareSwap is a private care circle for parents who already know each other. You post when you need help with the kids. Someone in your circle covers it. No strangers. Just the people who already show up for each other, with an easier way to plan it.

  1. Invite the people you already trust.
  2. When you need care, post it. The date, the time, and a few details.
  3. People in your circle see it and offer to help.
  4. You confirm one of the people who offered.

What makes it different

It is not a marketplace. No strangers. No score keeping. No hourly rates. The trust is already there. CareSwap just gives you an easier way to use it.

It is not here to replace your group chat. If your community already works well, that is great. CareSwap is for when planning gets harder than a group chat can handle.

What we really compete with is “I will just go without.” When asking feels too hard, people do without help they truly needed. That is what we want to change.
